Day 18 - March 17 2011

Woke up, went to work, worked, came home.

That's when things started to get interesting. Well... Slightly less mundane.

I made my chocolate marble cheesecake for the second time. Pictures will come tomorrow. It doesn't LOOK as good as last time, but the it seems lighter so we'll see... I'm taking it into work for a cake sale which my wife and some other folk at work have organised for Comic Relief.

That took about an hour, we had tea, I watched an episode of Oz and James Drink to Britain as "research" for this weekends festivities (more on that tomorrow night) and tried the cakes my wife was making, also for the cake sale tomorrow. She won "best cupcake" the last time they had one, so she has a reputation to uphold.

Once all the baking was done I decided to have a Guinness or 3. Not because it was St Patrick's Day, just because I happen to like Guinness. I watched Blood Simple, which is the Coen brothers début film. It was very good. They clearly had a style of their own even back in 1984.

Bed time now. Sleep won't be easy as our little cat, Bella, is in heat and won't shut up. We keep saying we'll get her 'done' but never get round to it.

Good night.
