As predicted I played CODBO for a bit (I reached prestige level 4 for those of you who care), then watched a film called Easy A while the wife watched some fat bitch and a heroin addict on One Born Every Minute.
The film was pretty good. Funny. Sort of a modern day 80s John Hughes movie, really. With more naked skin. Because that's what most films need these days.
Earlyish night, struggled with sleep but got off in the end after massaging the wife's aching calves (muscles, not young cows).
Work today was alright... A little quiet at times, and then hectic at others. Certainly kept me on my toes. The wife went to her first "Aqua-natal" today, which is basically a gentler form of water aerobics for pregnant women. I fully expect a day of moaning about aching muscles tomorrow. I think she's anticipated this, as in order to keep me sweet she prepared pork escallops in gravy with roast potatoes and cauliflower cheese for our tea. It was pretty damn good.
After tea she had a bath and settled for down for some moaning and CSI while I was unstoppable on CODBO. I then watched a Chinese film called Ip Man which is a semi-biographical account of Yip Man, the first martial arts master to teach the Chinese martial art of Wing Chun. He was Bruce Lee's mentor. It was pretty good, though the subtitles were a little bit funky. Fantastic martial arts sequences. It also highlighted a period of Chinese history I wasn't at all familiar with, which was the Japanese occupation prior to World War Two. So I learned something too.
Right, bed time.
Nighty night!
